The 2020 Porsche Taycan comes in three distinct models: 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S. Although none of the Taycan models are actually turbocharged the naming remains synonymous with branding from other high-performance models in the Porsche lineup. Taycan model S vehicles initially will be offered with a 93.4 kWh or 79.2 kWh drivetrains, the latter coming available June 2020. Capable of up to 562 horsepower and 479-pound feet of torque in over-boost mode the 4S achieves a 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. Charge times are very short due to Porsche’s 800-volt electrical system. The system can bring the battery up from 5 percent to 80 percent in only 4 minutes. However, owners may be forced to wait as long as 10.5 hours using a conventional 240-volt connection at home or on the go.
